CORNEAL MOLDING

Corneal Molding or orthokeratology is a revolutionary process that allows the patient to enjoy clear vision during the day without glasses or contacts. It is non-surgical, reversible and safe for children.

How does it work?

Corneal Molding uses Wavefront technology to gently shape the eye while your sleep. When you awake in the morning the mold is removed and clear vision is enjoyed through the day.

Who is this for?

Primary candidates are children and youth who are near sighted. There is evidence that orthokeratology can slow changes in prescription, preventing major refractive error in adulthood. Furthermore, those who want to be free of glasses or contacts for sports, convenience etc, are great candidates for corneal molding.

What is the process?

We will perform a comprehensive eye exam to determine your eye health. A custom lens is created using our Scout Topographer and Wave Software. A few nights of wearing your lens and you are ready to enjoy clear vision free of glasses and contacts.
